Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat- Meknes – Fes

Our Casablanca tours and desert excursions are available every day. Travel with Special Morocco Tours to explore the best of Sahara. We will pick up you at the airport/hotel in Casablanca and we drive towards Fes. We will visit Rabat – capital and also Meknes, a very important city in Morocco’s history and culture. We may visit also the Roman ruins of Volubilis and then we drive to Fes where we stay overnight in a local traditional riad/hotel.

Day 2: Fez – Midelt – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga

Today our private Casablanca tour continues visiting the medina (the old city). We walk inside its alleys and we visit the Jewish Quarter and the Royal Palace. We will visit the famous tanneries in Fez, worth experiencing. Then we visit the Quaraouine mosque which is considered the 1st university in the world. Then we drive towards the Middle Atlas mountains. We will visit the town of Ifrane which is called Switzerland of Morocco. We will drive towards the cedar forests in Azrou and here we may watch local monkeys. Then we drive to Midelt, which is famous for its mineral products. We will pass a few villages and cities to reach the fascinating Ziz valley. We will drive to Erfoud, which is famous for its fossils. After that, we drive towards Rissani and Merzouga Sahara desert where we ride camels to reach desert camp. We will experience Berber music in the desert and we stay overnight in the desert camp. We may watch the sunset in the dunes in the Merzouga desert.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert –Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

Early in the morning we will watch the sunrise in the desert of Merzouga and then we ride camels back to the village of Merzouga and after breakfast, we leave for Dades Gorges. We drive towards Tinghir, and then we explore Todra gorges which is the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. Here we may hike within the amazing valley and after lunch, we will continue our private Morocco tour passing the Dades valley. Here we stay in Dades gorges in traditional local riad/hotel with dinner and breakfast.

Day 4: Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech

Today we continue our private Casablanca tour through the Dades valley towards Ouarzazate passing the route of the 1000’s Kasbahs. We will stop at Kalaat Mgouna which is the center of roses valley. Here we may purchase the rosewater, which is the local famous product made from roses. We will visit the Ouarzazate movie studio, and also the local kasbah in the city. We continue to the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, built by one of the last Berber chieftains. Our trip continues passing Tizi n Tichka mountain pass at 2260 m. Then we arrive in Marrakech where our private Morocco tour ends.
