Day 1: MARRAKECH – AIT BENHADDOU – OUARZAZATE – DADES VALLEY

Our Morocco excursions and tours are available every day. Travel with Special Morocco Tours to explore the best of Sahara. Depart Marrakech and drive through the High Atlas Mountains, via the twisting Tizi n’ Tichka mountain pass to Ouarzazate. Visit the exotic Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou, then continue to Ouarzazate center, where you can tour Atlas Studios, the largest movie studio in Africa. Enjoy lunch at the Kasbah of Taourirt, a former residence of the Glaoui Dynasty. Continue to Rose Valley and the Kasbah of Amerhidil in Skoura, situated by the Amerhidil River and one of the largest in Morocco. Overnight in the Dades Valley.

Day 2: DADES VALLEY – TOUDRA GORGES - RISSANI - MERZOUGA SUNSET RIDE

After breakfast, depart for the Dadès Gorges and stop to enjoy the spectacular scenery while sipping on mint tea, also known as “Berber Whiskey.” Continue to Tinghir via Dades Valley, and see beautiful palm trees and lush landscapes. The journey then moves on to the Todra Gorges for a leisurely lunch. After lunch, drive to Merzouga to trek by camel across the wind-blown Erg Chebbi dunes, a classic Saharan Desert of all the picture books. Spend the evening in a bivouac (camp) with a typical Moroccan dinner. Sleep in a traditional nomadic camel hair tent.

Day 3: MERZOUGA - NKOB - HIGH ATLAS - MARRAKECH

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes and return by camel to the hotel. After breakfast, shower and depart for the vast palm grove of Tafilalet, and pass through the town of the Rissani Alaouite dynasty and the capital of the former Sultan Alaouite. En route to Alnif, see the oasis of Tazarine and Nkob. Continue to Ouarzazate by the sublime Valle de Draa. Finally, arrive at the village of Agdz and the port of Ait Saoun, and cross the High Atlas. Arrive back in Marrakech in the evening at 7:00 PM. Our team would like to thank you for our trust and we wish you a happy return back home.
