Day 1: Tangier airport/port – Chefchaouen
Meet and welcome at Tangier airport/port and departure to Chefchaouen, a town founded as a secret mysterious place from which to attack the Portuguese installed on the north coast. Was totally banned from entering the village to Europeans until the arrival of the Spanish troops in 1920. Late in the afternoon, we arrive at Chefchaouen where we will spend two nights.
Day 2: Exploring Chefchaouen
Breakfast and you will have a free day in Chefchaouen, a holy city hung on the mountain, located within a natural biosphere reserve. Its streets painted white and blue, kind and friendly people, offer visitors beautiful urban panoramas declining precious samples of local crafts and a peace and serenity that is hard to find today.
Day 3<strong>: </strong>Chefchaouen to Fes
We continue our journey to Fez, Imperial City, which dates back to the eighth century. It is also one of the first holy cities of Muslim worship in Morocco and also has the pride of hosting one of the oldest universities in the world. Afternoon free to relax and have a first contact with the city that will transport you to the past.
Day 4: Exploring Fes: Guided City Tour
Breakfast and guided tour of Fez by the most important places of Fez visit. By entering into the streets of the medina (old city) feel that the time recedes: the guild structure is still present in the work, its narrow streets allow no other transportation than donkeys and a constant swarm of people move the labyrinthine alleys through which we were surprised neighborhoods such as Andalusians and magnificent mosques and Koranic schools. Fez has always been associated with the study and religiosity and remains the spiritual capital of Morocco. Overnight at hotel or Riad.
Day 5: Fez – Meknes – Volubilis – Moulay Idriss – Meknes
After breakfast we head west to get to Volubilis, the ancient Roman city and most important archaeological site in Morocco. Free time to visit the area of Volubilis. Ability to take a tour with a local guide to learn more about these important ruins. After enjoying the impressive Roman remains we approach Mulay Idris, one of the most important pilgrimage centers of Morocco. It is a small town where you can meet the most interesting of the medina in less than an hour. The third stop will Meknes, the “humble” the Four Imperial Cities of Morocco. In Meknes, you will have free time to eat and visit the most important places of the city, step into its souk or enjoy a coffee in the square. Dinner and overnight at the hotel or Riad.
Day 6: Meknes – Rabat – Asilah
Breakfast and departure to Asilah through Rabat. Visit the capital of Morocco where you can visit the Royal Palace, the mausoleum of Mohammed V, Hassan Tower, the Kasbah Oudaya, etc. . In the afternoon we continue to the town of Asilah, where you can relax and stroll around a beautiful white medina. Hotel and accommodation in Asilah.
Day 7: Asilah – Tangier or Tangier port or airport
Breakfast and transfer you to the Tangier airport or Tangier where the tour ends.
